What is on the map
- Terminals are points at the coordinates GEM reports. 0 terminals in the tracker have no coordinates and cannot be plotted.
- Pipelines are lines. Routes come from GEM's route file where available, from route coordinates in the spreadsheet otherwise, and as a straight start-to-end line where only endpoints are known. 0 pipelines cannot be drawn at all.
- LNG carriers are not on the map. This site does not carry live vessel positions, and a ship's location is not part of the tracker data. Carrier pages will describe the ship, its yard and its containment system, not where it is today.
The layers are plain GeoJSON and you can use them directly:terminals and pipelines. Pipeline routes in those files are simplified for display; the full-precision geometry stays in the build database.
